As an allergist, Dr. Stekoll seem fairly competent. However, the way the office, Allergy and Asthma Specialists of Kansas City, is run is extremely poor. There doesn't seem to be any way of determining when this office will actually be open. My family has now been to this location on 3 different occasions during times when they were supposed to be open, and they weren't. The first time, we basically ignored the issue. The second time, we were told by office staff that we should always check the website for closings... So, we did. It still didn't help. There are 3 places on the website that show hours. The location pages shows office hours, the shot schedule page shows hours, and the closings page shows hours. It would be nice if they were actually in sync. After the third time this happened, it was discussed with the Dr. and he stated that a sign was posted in the office stating the closing. What is really bad is that allergy injections are done on a consistent basis in order to build up an immunity. Every time this happens, the dosage has to be changed to a lower amount. What a poor way of doing business.
