Endoscopic Breast Augmentation (Transaxillary)
Grady Core, MD
The transaxillary endoscopic breast augmentation is done to enlarge the breasts. It is done using an endoscope – a long tube with a camera at the end to ensure proper placement of the implant. The endoscopic breast augmentation technique has now been modified to include the ability to place silicone gel implants. A small T or Z-shaped incision within the hair-bearing portion of the armpit is utilized to place an implant up to approximately 325 CCs.
