WhenI visited I was very impressed with his thoroughness. However, I was overbilled. After insurance coverage and VSP one pair of eyeglasses and the appointment cost $645. A week later I was informed that due to an insurance billing error, I had been overcharged by $100. Still that is the most I have ever paid for my annual exam and glasses. The frames were nice and fit perfectly.

I also took my daughter for an exam and contacts. They said she had a special condition and could only wear the most expensive lenses currently made. They would not give her a prescription except for that brand. In addition, the prescription was wrong. We had eyeglasses made at another place and then she saw another optometrist. The new optometrist corrected the prescription and we had to had the lenses remade.

This guy engages in high pressure billing practices and orders unnecessary medical testing. I went in for a routine exam and was told after a follow up that they would almost never charge my vision insurance except for glasses materials. It would almost always go through my medical insurance. They also bill you up front for expenses that are covered by the insurance company. Be careful and check with your insurance company before you give them money. They have a contractual obligation to the patient to charge them after they have billed the insurance company and received the claim. I will be filing a formal complaint with my insurance company provider against them.
