Real or Fake, what is better when choosing Flowers in Feng Shui?
It is important that we allow nature into our NY home, apartment and buisness. Nature is us and we are nature, no matter how you look at it.
A client in NYC shared an interesting observation about his surroundings. He used to live across the street from Central Park and loved seeing the changing of the seasons and having lush greenery and trees facing his view. He said it made him feel supported, relaxed and less anxious.
He moved to a more industrial part of the Manhattan NY and had a greater feeling of anxiety and wanting the erg to place more "nature" like elements in his new apartment to balance his environment. We could understand this feeling 100%
In Feng Shui the saying goes, "let the outside in". One of the methods in Feng Shui that is based on nothing but nature is the Five Elements. When educating our clients about this method we give suggestions on how to address each element with their intentions and either objects, materials, art work and more. One questions our clients ask often is , "should we use real or fake plants when dealing with the wood element?"
Traditional Feng Shui always suggest to use real because the energy is alive and constantly growing and helping to heal. Another option is to use silk plants. We have had a few clients say, I hear dried flowers are bad energy. From our own experience we say if you can avoid dried flowers please do, but!....there are always exceptions to the rule.
Lets say you had dried flowers that were given to you as a present from someone very dear or they hold some type of sentential value. If they make you feel good, then keep them. Listen to yourself and intuition.
