Break Down

Okay, so since my boyfriend keeps telling me "no you're not" maybe this may be a better venue for some real advice.

I went to buy new pants last week and had what i view as a serious problem.
I am no longer a size 9, or 11, or 12 or 13...the only size i can wear comfortably is a 14. I almost had a heart attack.

I moved to Indiana from Washington state two years ago. When i moved here i weighed 127lbs and wore a size 9. I currently weight 183lbs and wear a size 14. I have seen it happening, but never really committed to do anything about it.

Now when i look in the mirror i find myself very unhappy with what i see, and self esteem problems that i've never had before keep bouncing around my head.

The main problem i have is laziness. I'll make excuses to not exercise, or excuses to eat what i want.

I'm not really sure what the best way to go about anything is right now, there are so many diets, and exercise plans, and pills, and products everywhere that promise quick and easy weight loss. I KNOW there is no comparison to eating right and good old-fashioned exercise, but i really don't want to.

But i have to. So i decided to start on a route that may or may not work, and kind of suits my laziness...if i can do that?

For twelve days ( i bought 2 cases each of 6) i am drinking a shake for breakfast, eating a bar for lunch, and salad for dinner. at the end of the 12 days i am going to fast for 24 hours, then juice fast for 4-7 days depending on how my body handles it.
i haven;t really thought beyond that.
I still need to start excercising.

I am afraid that if that works, i'll just go "ok i'm good, back to bad habits." That is usually how i am.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I know you don't want to hear it but you will also need to exercise. This will not only get you in better shape but you'll feel better physically and emotionally. To start try to find something you like to do, maybe you have a pet you can walk around the neighborhood, or if you have kids to play outside games with, or if you like to ride a bike, or swim. If you start with things you like you won't hate exercise (as much). Then build on that. I'm no expert but this is what has got me exercising again. Hope it helps!
