8. Cook Up Some Fish and Feel Good
Eating seafood can help enhance the feeling of well-being as you begin to enter your senior years. Fish are jam packed with omega-3 fats (often called “good fats") which are believed to influence the section of the brain that controls moods and attitude. Omega-3s (EPA & DHA) may also regulate blood clotting and reduce inflammation. The more oily the fish, the more omega-3 fats it contains. Wild caught salmon makes for a delicious and healthy meal. Mackerel, sardines, perch, trout and sole are also healthy options.
