Elisa Dombrowski, M.A. is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology. In addition, she is a professor at the Irvine campus of Pepperdine University helping future therapists understand how to effectively work with clients.
Elisa is a trained relationship counseling expert and specializes in the treatment of difficult relationships, painful breakups, infidelity, marital problems and divorce recovery. Elisa has been highly effective at helping many people recover from the ending of a relationship and emerge into a healthier version of themselves with a readiness to move on. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is what drives her passion to be one of a select few Orange County therapists that specialize in premarital counseling.
As a counselor for over 16 years, she has helped many individuals, couples and families make tangible and lasting changes in their lives. Elisa believes that psychotherapy is a collaborative effort and the most important part of therapy is the connection between you and your therapist.
Her counseling style is warm, empathic, respectful and genuine. As a client-centered therapist, Elisa brings empathic understanding, life experience and a belief that all people have the capacity for change in an atmosphere of safety and acceptance. She founded the Corona Del Mar Counseling Center to create an environment ideally suited for relationship counseling.
