Dr. Ruth Avey McKinney earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1982. She is a Board-Certified Chiropractic Physician and has a Certificate of Attainment from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She has served as an examiner for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, as well as ten years on the Peer Review Committee for the Georgia Chiropractic Association. Dr. McKinney has had extensive training and is Advanced Certified in Activator Method, a specialized low-force, gentle treatment technique. Dr. McKinney practiced for twenty years in metro Atlanta before moving to the Chattanooga area. She treats a wide variety of patients with issues ranging from sports injuries, neck and low back disc disorders, children with scoliosis, and work and personal injuries. She has been under chiropractic care since age ten. In her spare time Dr. McKinney enjoys hiking, snow skiing, 4-wheeling, and SEC football.
