The alcoholics use drinking in a way that is damaging to their physical and mental health, it disrupts their relationships with their loved ones, and it effects their job and their way of life. They drink despite all of these consequences. Some people are able to hide their addiction problem, and exhibit a normal life and normal function on the surface.
