Sue Connor has been a practicing clinical psychologist since 1990 supporting individuals, couples, and families in coping with critical issues in their lives and increasing their ability to experience peaceful satisfaction in everyday life.

After falling in love with the deserts and mountains of Utah, Dr.Connor re-located her private practice from Washington, DC to Salt Lake City in 2000 and has enjoyed becoming an active member of the Salt Lake City community. Her participation in local activities promoting education and awareness about eating disorder recovery, suicide prevention, chronic illness/ pain management, and overcoming post traumatic stress disorders continues to motivate her interest in mindful awareness practices.

Dr.Connor is a member of the Medical Staff at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute where she supports individuals in their recovery from eating disorders and also contributes to the the training of medical and psychology students in this specialized area as a adjunct faculty member for the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Connor treats patients of all ages in UNI’s acute care setting teaching self care skills and symptom reduction strategies.

Dr. Connor received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Duquesne University in 1986, and has been supporting individuals and their families in recovery from eating disorders and post traumatic stress related disorders for over 20 years. Her post doctoral training was completed at Dominion Hospital, Falls Church, VA, as Director of Admissions, and later, as leader of the Eating Disorder Team. She received speciality training in treatment of dissociative and post traumatic stress disorders under the supervision of Christine Courtois, Ph.D. at The Center for Post Traumatic Disorders Recovery in Washington, DC.
