I have been a patient of Dr. Abrams for 8 years; I cannot imagine switching doctors, to the point that even though I now live in New York City, I continue to commute back to CT to see him. I appreciate his timely manner; I never have to wait to be seen, but neither do I feel rushed to finish my session. But more importantly, I trust him. I am able to openly share my feelings and problems because he listens and provides constructive feedback--and never judges me. He also involves me in the process of choosing my medication regimen. He makes sure that I know all of the options, and with each option what the possible side effects are, so that we can make a decision together about which type of prescription therapy best fits my life. And then he always calls to follow up to make sure Im getting the desired results. He doesnt just write a refill and send me on my way; he tries to continually tailor my medications and dosages to fit the changes in my life. He is a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients and it shows through every time I see him.

They are definitely the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. I think they are the most knowledgeable, helpful psychiatrist in the field. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. The wait in the waiting room is very short. Dr. Abrams is well worth the money and has helped me tremendously.

Dr. Abrams is a the most thoughtful, knowledgeable and professional Psychiatrist I have seen yet. It is obvious that he cares for his practice and patients, not only in the thorough visits and evaluations, but in his genuine follow ups. It has taken time to find a dr. who has helped to find a real solution and worked with me to make sure it was the right one. I would recommend him to any future patients, who are looking for top quality care.

I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They made sure every question I had was answered thoroughly, They always go out of their way to make me feel encouraged and cared for. I always feel completely comfortable and I look forward to my appointments. I felt welcome as soon as I walked into the office. Never having been to this type of appointment I felt nervous, but Dr. Abrams put me at ease. The skills that I have acquired during my sessions have improved my quality of life. After having seen him over the past few months I would highly recommend him.

Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. They are nice but can be overbooked and there is no staff besides Dr. Abrams. They should really allow for more time in between appointments if they want to keep any business. I am not going to refer my family and friends here because he does not have insurance and is very expensive. I just wasn't that impressed. I would recommend them to people I know if I couldn't think of anyone better to suggest. Whenever I call them, I usually have to wait a day or three before I hear back.
