I had a small lipoma (fatty cell) on the top of my forehead – probably had it for over a year. So I decided to get it removed. Originally, I went to a dermatologist who said he’d be able to remove it for me. Spoke to my wife about it and she insisted I get it removed with a plastic surgeon and not a dermatologist, since it’s on my face. A close friend of mine highly recommended I go see Dr. Kenneth Shaheen....he was a patient of his years ago and said he was amazing. I scheduled an appointment and saw him last month. The entire staff was extremely friendly and professional. Dr. Shaheen explained what I had (same explanation as the dermatologist – so that made me feel good) and then explained the surgical treatment. I felt very comfortable speaking with him. He was kind and informative. The surgery was done last week at Beaumont Hospital (out-patient). It’s been a week since my procedure and I went to see Dr. Shaheen for my post-op. The healing is coming along well and the scarring is very minimal (just a small line). I’d def recommend Dr. Shaheen – very good experience.
