I moved to a different city so I was looking for a new gyno. I went to the office, it looked very nice and professional and all the nurses acted that way too. HOWEVER, the doctor was a complete asshole. He was very condescending the entire visit and when I brought up a specific concern that had been bothering me a while, he blew it off and acted like I had no idea what I was talking about. I didn't have any idea, which was was I was asking him because he's the doctor... Will never visit the place again. What a douche.

RE: Dr. James P. Haley, MD ?

We came to your office today, June 22, 2011 at 10:30 AM, for my wife's gynecological checkup, and to try to fix a couple of health problems that she has, and to ask a couple of questions about her situation, such as: hormonal imbalance, problems with dryness and itching of her private parts, her swollen abdomen, and just general things that gynecologists do.
I talked to my wife on the way home, and she told me a lot of things about the visit with Dr. Haley that disturbs me a lot.
First of all, the doctor didn’t check her blood pressure, heart rate, weight, height, or none of the vitals that doctors ALWAYS DO. In fact, he didn’t even read her chart that we filled out.
Izaurita told you about the itching and dryness of her private parts, and he didn’t even acnowledge or even look or check to see what the problem was. She told you about the lump on her left arm, and a left breast problem, and he didn’t ever lift his head to look at it. He wrote a prescription for Premarin, when in fact, Izaurita told him specifically that she wasn’t happy with Premarin. He ignored that too. He didn’t even offer to take a PAP smear. He just didn’t do ANYTHING! He never touched her body, nor did my wife take off her clothes for an examination. My wife came in to ask for his help as a doctor, and he totally ignored all of her questions. He was too concerned about seeing the next patient so he could collect another $95.00 office visit fee. He and the nurse both told her she was over the time limit. This is totally unacceptable! Dr. Haley is prejudiced against women of darker skin, or from another country, such as Brazil or Mexico. I don’t know, but I do know this. Dr. Haley is a disgrace to the medical profession. I wish I had gone into the office with my wife. He would have not treated me like that. I promise you!
I am going to send a copy of this letter to the AMA, all of the television news channels, and I am going to put a copy of this letter on the Internet so other people won’t be taken in by your inability to provide professional medical care to your patients.
WARNING!!! NEW PATIENTS! BEWARE of this DOCTOR! He is incompetent. All he cares about is collecting his $95.00 office visit fee!!!!!

I have been going to Dr. Haley for several years and he has always treated me with kindness and respect. Dr. Haley always takes an incredible amount of time answering my questions and I never feel rushed. He seems to truly care about me and my issues. His staff is very courteous and friendly. I never have to wait long for an appointment or when I am there. He is a fabulous doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone needing a gynecologist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Haley's practice for several years. I would like to say that I do like Dr. Haley very much. He is very professional and attentive. I do have an issue with his billing person now. I visited them every 3 months to have my Depo injection administered as well as having my annual pap smear. In all the years, they have never had an issue with my insurance company. Last month, I went in to have my injection. They always bill my insurance company a $45 injection fee, which I believe is a little high for a 5 minute visit, but no problem My former OB charged a $10 injection fee.

About a week and a half later, I received a $45 statement in the mail. I was confused since I never receive the bill since it goes straight to the insurance company. I also hadn't even received my EOB from my insurance company yet. I called their office, and the receptionist told me that Blue Cross had told them I no longer had insurance. I contacted Blue Cross and they admitted that had been a mistake and would resubmit my claim, but that it could take up to 21 days for it to be paid. The person at Blue Cross even offered to contact Dr. Haley's office to explain the mix up right then, but they were already closed for the day.

About a week after that, I received a 2nd bill with a $10 late fee added and it informed me that this was the 2nd and final notice. IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN A MONTH SINCE MY VISIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, insurance companies can be slow. It's not right, but it's the way it is! Now, I am pretty upset since I have been going there for several years without one problem, and now they are treating me like a criminal!

And now, about 45 days after my visit, I received a letter saying that legal proceedings have been started and my account has been sent to collections!!! I have never heard anything like this before. All of this for a $45 injection fee. And the check is on the way from the insurance company

Obviously, I will be finding a new OB Gyn and not referring anyone else to this practice. I will also be posting my experience on various social networking sites and Doctor review websites. There are issues with the insurance companies from time to time, and there can be a delay with payment. Thank goodness that the one time it happened with me, it was for a small amount. I would hope that if there was a delay in the future, the office would work with the insurance company and patient to resolve the issue, not send the patient to collections 45 days later. All for $45!!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Haley's for several years and I think he is amazing. He is unlike any other physician I have ever seen.... he spends so much time with me and is extremely caring and compassionate. He operated on me last year and everything went flawlessly. I recommend him to everyone I know and those that have seen him have all been very pleased as well. His office is beautiful, and his staff is very welcoming and friendly. If you are looking for a gynecologist, I highly recommend him!
