Dr. Abrantes was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever come in contact with. He did not acknowledge me or shake my hand upon entering the room. He did not introduce himself to me either. He used cuss words when he began talking about the government and became angry that I was getting on medicaid and that would only pay for part of the cost. He accepts medicaid, but was angry I was switching to medicaid. He told me to stop moving so it wouldn't hurt while he was examining me. I had the most painful sonogram with him. I had three previous with a different doctor in a town I had previously lived in, and they were all pain free. Dr. Abrantes has a horrible bedside manner. He is not professional and did not treat me anywhere close to appropriate. He told me to cover myself for my exam so he wouldn't be embarassed. I was in tears by the end of the visit, and he looked at me and left the room without addressing my obvious emotional state. I would not recommend any woman to Dr. Abrantes and certainly do not trust him to deliver my baby. I switched doctors immediately.
