I went to Dr. Dodson for a total of four visits over the course of 6 weeks. After leaving his "care" I now feel like I've escaped an abusive spouse. My first impression was a complete lack of beside manner or empathy. To make a long story short, he tried to put me on dangerous and excessive medications despite my concerns about safety and permanent side effects like tremors and kidney damage. He was willing to turn a productive member of society into a drooling vegetable to shut me up. Risperdal, Seroquel, Depakote, Lithium, etc. etc. etc. He didn't seem interested in including me in my own care plan, just wanted to force heavy meds down my throat. He even suggested that I re-take a medication I was allergic to, in case I wasn't actually allergic to it! This is not including the medication error he made on my first visit, in which he prescribed far too high a dosage. I will be reporting him to the medical board.

I will definitely recommend them to people I know. They were very polite and helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed. They are always polite and never use foul language, which I really appreciate. It's always made me uncomfortable at other places when I've heard them use foul language, but they don't here. I know I can bring my kids, and not worry about it.
