My brother, who was a patient of this doctor, was in the hospital and in mental crisis. It was very difficult to get Dr. Chinnaswammy to return phone calls (in fact, I had to threaten the use of a lawyer before she finally returned my call) or to set up an appointment. When she did agree to see him, he was with her only a few minutes and she told him that they would continue to talk about his issues at his next scheduled appointment. It was as if she wanted us out of her office. My brother has since been dianosed with a form of schizophrenia and is in a state mental hospital indefinately. Had Dr. Chinnaswammy taken the time to meet with us and talk about real issues, he might have been diagnosed and helped earlier. It has taken two years since we met with her to get a diagnosis and treatment. He has been in an out of several different hospitals in these two years. I found her to be cold, uncaring, and not interested in the fact that he was hospitalized or in crisis. I would not recommend her to anyone based upon my experiences.

They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff made me feel stupid for calling. I avoided calling because I didn't want to feel stupid. I couldn't believe how great their office looked. It was very obvious that they took pride in the office's appearance. It was one of the best looking offices I've ever seen. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time. The staff really knows what they're doing, and they know a lot about the company they work for. They're able to answer most of my questions, and the only ones they don't are the ones they need their boss's approval for.

I couldn't believe how little I ended up having to pay for my appointment. They have very affordable prices. Their entire office was immaculate. It was obvious that they took very good care of it. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary. The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. Dr Chinnaswamy has taken the time to help me through some serious situations, the longest I have had to wait to see her from the time I called until I was talking to her in her office. Her staff is excellent in understanding the seriousness of a situation and they work quickly and compassionately with you. Over the past 11 years I have had 3 or 4 changes in my psychiatrist because of them leaving private practice or situations similar. She is by far the best that I have seen.
