Rude Front Desk:

Hate to say it, but I have to agree with the above poster. The office ladies are extremely rude! I realized this at the first visit, and it continued throughout the entire treatment process.

Dr. Knipe is super nice...so it actually surprised me that the front desk help was so rude.

I'm 19 years old. I've only lived now for 19 years. My mom turned to Dr. Knipes Oral surgery facility to get my wisdom teeth out. My wisdom teeth weren't coming in, but my mom wanted to get them out because my insurance still covered the surgery at that time. The date was 3/10/09 and i will never ever forget that day. Dr. Knipe seemed like an alright guy to me, he explained the risks of losing feeling in some areas due to nerves. But he said only 25% really fall in that category and that is was very rare. I was absolutly terrified on the day of the surgery, I had never had a real surgery before so i was scared I'll admit that. I went in and to start off the procedure they made me feel beyond an anxiety attack because they would not allow my mother into the operation room. I'm 18 years old, and all i wanted was my mom there to hold my hand because yes i was terrified. But they said no, and thats when the tears started coming, I didn't feel ready for this. So i came out of the surgery, okay drowsy. Went home and slept for the next 5 days.. On the 5th day.. i realized half my tongue was still numb. I was terrified. scared. I went back to him concerning my problems and he told me, to wait a few months he was sure it was gonna come back. Well, guess what the guy lied to me. And here i am now almost a year later the date is 1/12/10 and i still do not have feeling in the left bottom side of my mouth including my tongue. And since that surgery i have not been the same person. I'm constantly in pain, it's an everyday thing. and I have been one of the most depressed 19 year old girls for the past year. And i won't ever forgive that man for doing that to me. And i won't ever be the same person. It's the most upsetting feeling going from having a fine mouth, being able to taste everything feel everything to not being able to feel a whole side in the inside of your mouth. AND NOT TO MENTION, i went to a consultant about 3 months ago because by 8 months it wasn't back and i just needed someone to tell me something else. they told me it would never come back now, and that i should of gotten the reconstructive nerve surgery after 3 months. Well DR. KNIPE never told me that. So, thanks for ruining the past year of my life. There's not a day that doesn't go by that i don't cry to myself and just wish i could have all the feeling back in my mouth. I really hope he reads this. So thanks a lot Dr. Knipe for ruining my mouth. AND I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE. search for a better place.
