I have been a patient for approximately 10 or so years. I am totally satisfied with Dr. Chavez and his staff.

He is totally honest (unlike many other dentists in the area). He doesn't fill teeth that don't need it (agian, unlike MANY dentists in the area).

I can't imagine anyone having a problem with him. He's always on time and is easy to reach in an emergency. He has up-to-date equipment. He's extremely pleasant and really tries to accomodate is patients.

Additionally, he teaches at the local college (COD).

Whenever I've gone there, it feels like they care more about money than they do about me. They're always recommending an expensive procedure that I really don't think I need. The waiting area is rather small, but there is always a seat available. It would be nice if it was more spacious, but I've never had to stand. I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. I felt a little pressured to buy products, but it wasn't overbearing. Still, I wish they had been a little more professional. They were a little too argumentative and angry. They didn't seem like they wanted to listen to almost everything I had to say.


The major problem that I have with this doctor is that he filled 3 of my cavities, one of which was going to need a root canal. He filled the cavity and it ended up cracking because he made the filling too big. I went back a week later after being in a lot of pain, and he redid the cavity. A week later, I was still in pain. When I called him, he told me I would need a root canal (why he ended up filling the cavity then, I do not know.) After I called them to see if I could get a refund for the one cavity that he filled that turned into a root canal, they said they would not refund me. I spent money on a useless cavity to get filled, and instead am now paying for that AND a root canal on the same tooth.
