The people at his office are great, and Dr. Elkins always makes me feel comfortable. My LASIK surgery for my cataracts went like a breeze. I tell my friends it's harder to put mascara on than to have that surgery! All the best!

Dr. Elkins bedside manner is terrific - he takes time to explain the procedures he reccomended. He let me know I needed cataract surgery but I didn't neccesarily need to it then. I did LASIK surgery years ago and is it is not a proven procedure, Dr. Elkins was more than happy to go in a adjust improve upon it a second time. I was extremely pleased and reccomeneded my wife and children to go see Dr. Elkins. I would follow him anywhere he would go.

When I arrived for my appointment the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. I was very impressed. They are always prepared for my appointment and remember everything about me. Everyone in my community knows that they are the absolute best in the field. One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time.

Dr. Elkins and his office staff have always been very professional and thorough, with an emphasis on thorough! They never overlook anything. I'm 72 and my husband is 75 and we both got restor implant surgery with Dr. Elkins. It took a period of a couple of years, but it was very well worth it. He's wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone who has any kind of eye problems.

Dr. Brad Elkins is extremely haughty, overconfident, confrontational, thinks little of taking risks with YOUR eyes, and discounts anyone’s opinion but his own. Will say anything to minimize the deleterious effects of injury that he causes. Should not be practicing medicine.

and by that, I mean not only Dr. Elkins but his entire staff.
Although Dr. Elkins has many obligations and patients, he gives you all the time and explanation you want, making you feel that you are very special. He realizes although he understands the procedures, the outcome, the pros and cons of each procedure, that you do not - and treats you with consideration and compassion. The entire office was totally helpful and open and ready throughout every phase of my procedures and because of the staff and doctors, I can and will see perfectly for the rest of my life. I am forever grateful and have no problem recommending Dr. Elkins and his office for any eye procedure.

I saw Dr Elkins for a condition in my eye and I think he is a great doctor. He is one of the top leading doctors in his field and is highly qualified. He is not only an amazing doctor but his care for his patients sets him apart from the rest.He has always explained everything to me in great detail and made me aware of any risks. He is very understanding and comforting. I would trust Dr Elkins with my entire family, including my children.

Dr. Brad Elkins performed a custom wavefront LASIK procedure on me and the results were disastrous. After I obtained my medical records, I learned that he did not divulge critical findings from my preop exam, which contraindcated LASIK. These included a very significant abnormally low dry eye test result and very small pupils, which made it impossible to obtain an accurate wavefront scan without artificially dilating my pupils. Unfortunately, using pharmacological dilating agents on a patient immediately prior to CustomVue Wavefront LASIK with ActiveTrak is contrary to VISX, FDA-approved protocol because it could lead to nonuniform expansion of the pupil, which could result in decentration of the treatment area. No problem -- Brad Elkins, in all his wisdom, ignored the VISX warning and unconscionably dilated my pupils anyway without first explaining the possible adverse implications. He performed an "off-label" procedure without my consent. The result was that I ended up with bilaterial decentered ablations, which have ruined my vision. The dry eye that I had before surgery has been greatly augmented by the procedure, causing agonizing pain all day long and through the night. My life has been turned upside down by this incompetent and dishonest surgeon who performed what I consider to be a criminal act. My medical records were reviewed by a very respected expert medical witness who characterized the procedure performed by Brad Elkins as "sloppy medicine." The principle investigator at AMO (the company that manufactures the VISX excimer laser) and a VISX chief laser engineer both told me that Elkins should not have done what he did and especially without first consulting with me and explaining all the findings from my preop exam. I still remember the way Elkins entered the examination room after my preop evaluation with a giant grin on his face and told me that all of my test results were great and that I was a perfect LASIK candidate. Brad Elkins is a better liar than he is a doctor. Beware of this butcher who masquerades as a physician.
