I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. The one thing that I really enjoy about this place is their high level of customer service. Their full attention is always on me and they never take personal calls during my appointment. I've been to other places that answer their phone and it just drives me crazy. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years.

After having moved around a bit after leaving the midcoast area, I found that I had so much to appreciate about Dr. Ricciardone's office. He is the only optometrist in the gig, and his two secretaries - both of whom have been there since I began needing glasses twelve years ago - are sassy, remember me every time, extremely helpful, and always willing to talk when I need something. I have never purchased glasses there - my mom always had good deals at Sears and so we always took our prescriptions elsewhere - but I continue to purchase my contacts through him even though I live 300 miles away. They are always willing to ship them to me at a very minimal shipping cost (around $2.50). Every time I have gone in for an appointment, Dr. Ricciardone has been courteous, cordial, asks about my family, and remembers stories we've shared in the past. He keeps it small - he has a very small office in downtown Bath - but it is none of the gimmicky eye care joints (like Lenscrafters) without a licensed optometrist in the bunch. Would recommend it to anyone.
