I joined the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in July 2011. Since, my career has centered around a mixture of enhancing patient care, providing education and mentorship to house staff and medical students, and advancing science through research, where I primarily study the impact of enteral nutrition on critical care patient outcomes. Despite being in an intensive care unit to heal, many patients (and their families) find the intensive care unit setting to be distressful. One of my personal aims is to try and alleviate distress associated with being in an intensive care unit setting through ample communication to ensure patients and their families receive information and gain comprehension.
