His clinical interests include cancers of the brain, breast, head and neck, lung, prostate, spine, gastrointestinal tract, and genitourinary system; lymphoma, myeloma, and sarcoma; and cancer pain management. Dr Rao received his MD from Rutgers Health–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a PharmD from Rutgers Health–Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy. He did a radiation oncology residency, and was chief resident, at Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health–Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic and Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
