Dr. Vinson earned her undergraduate degree from Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia, her graduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia.
After graduating, she completed her internship at NOVA Southeastern University in Largo, her general residency at West Virginia University, Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, and her cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
