I meet Dr. Eisele at his office and he took a look at Gibb’s X-rays. He had a degenerative disk disorder and if we didn’t do something immediately, the odds of him being able to walk again were slim. I left him in Dr. Eisele’s care. He still wanted to do a more extensive X-ray and make sure that surgery was necessary. Inevitably it was. Dr. Eisele helped “dumb it down for me.” He said if it was you or I and we woke up paralyzed we’d be in emergency surgery. He stayed until after 11 doing Gibb’s surgery. He even called me afterwards to let me know that my Gibbs was ok. Anytime I called he would always take my calls. He’s very compassionate and I felt he was just as vested in my dog’s recovery as I am.
I don’t have enough good things to say about the Specialists in Veterinary Surgery staff. They have been amazing through this whole process. I only wish that dog owners/ local vets office would be more prepared regarding the sense of urgency that’s involved when something like this happens. I have no doubt that Gibbs will make a full recovery. I get so excited to hear how he’s done after Physical therapy. The kindness and compassion the whole team has shown me has been remarkable.
So once again, I thank the entire staff at Specialist in Veterinary Surgery. You have simply been amazing and are giving me a second chance with my precious baby.
It was easy to get the appointment time that worked for my schedule. I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back.
