I have been getting my prescription filled at Economy Drug for many years, as well as most of my family, and I know there's been different owners over the years, but the service and price have never really changed, nor has the employees at Economy Drug. I think you get be service, lower prices, very helpful employee's that treat you just like family. They are very informed and can answer any questions about anything your interested in and are glad to assist you, so you can always walk out feeling good that you achieved exactly what you set out to accomplish, weather it's a prescription filled, a gift for yourself or someone else, a great card for, a Birthday, an anniversary, or a Get Well card or whatever, they'll be there to help!!!

I go here occasionally to get a prescription filled when my usual pharmacy is out of my medication . Today when I went they quoted me a price of $66 for my prescription that usually costs ~$18.00 at Rite Aid. I asked if my insurance had covered it and they said no. The pharmacist told me that insurances had changed what they were paying and drug prices had changed. I called my insurance provider (from the number on the back of the card) and spoke to a representative. She looked up the claim and told me that they did cover the prescription and that on her end it was showing a cost for me of $18.56. I told the pharmacist this and he proceeded to tell me that they couldn't sell me my prescription for that price even though they are an in-network pharmacy for my insurance agency. He said they weren't being reimbursed sufficiently. The woman on the phone with me said they were supposed to charge $18.56 because of their agreement with the insurance company. Needless to say I left and took my script to Walmart and they charged me ~$16.00. I won't be going back to Economy Drug and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else unless you like being lied to and over wildly overcharged.
