For new patient and to schedule a regular checkup/cleaning you will need to schedule 2 separate appointment (one for evaluation and second for cleaning). The cleaning schedule is booked so far out that it takes at least 2 month to schedule a cleaning.

Back in September 09, I was looking for a dentist near work and that will accept my company insurance Metlife. When I made the appointment the staff told me they will take my insurance. However after my cleaning appointment they told me that my insurance will not cover deep cleaning, so I paid $150 for the cleaning. Two weeks later my insurance company informed me that my dentis had filed a claim and full payment was sent to the dentist. I would not have know this if the insurance company have not notified me.

When I call the dental office to get my money back (since my insurance paid them too) the office staff they told me to wait 4-6 weeks. After waiting 6 weeks and not getting my refund, I called again and was told to wait another 4-6 weeks because the person that process the check comes at the end of the month. After the 5th call they finally told me a check was mailed but they can not tell me when it was mailed. It's been over 3 month and everytime I called, they said can't help me because the bookkeeper comes in once a month and/or wait another 4-6 week for another check to be processed. It's been 4 month now and I still have not received my money. I plan on filing a credit card claim now and contacting the insurance company next to see if there is anything I can do to get my money back.
