Pain in a back tooth subsided. Dr. Scheiner said I needed a cap anyway. So I went along with her suggestion. She gave me a shot of numbing medicine after which, alone in the office, my heart started to race and I began to feel faint. When she came back and lowered my chair down, i was practically standing on my head, i did not feel right. I mentioned it to her and she replied, Oh that
medication can make your heart race, don't worry it will subside in a few minutes.
Through the procedure she gave me more. OMG!!!!!
Made me wonder why I wasn't told that prior to getting the shot. Mouth wide open with an untold number of apparatus in my mouth, drill included, the tech accidentally put too much water in my mouth and I instantly knew how water boarding felt. I jumped up gagging and Ms. Scheiner told me that I should seek out sedation dentistry. OK another insult. I asked if they could just lighten up a bit. Here you are totally vulnerable with two bodies hovering over you and feeling that nobody cares. Not good. Got through that visit, had some pain for about a week and kept biting my cheek. Next visit...same thing happened with the hovering bodies applying topical medication that hurt. I asked again if they could take it easy and at least inform me of what was coming. Dr. Scheiner and her tech gave each other a look, like "how dare she or she's nuts".
I mentioned that the last time was harrowing and Ms. Scheiner confronted me by saying "are you starting with me?" I could not wrap myself around that...I thought is this a street fight or does she mean am I her patient? She meant it as a confrontation. I sat up and asked her if she called herself a doctor and she asked me if I called my self a patient...LOL Poor thing. She asked me if I wanted her to finish putting the permanent tooth in my mouth, no just go ahead and let me walk out with a hole in my mouth. STUPID!! She told me to find another dentist who would put up with me. I will, actually made up my mind last time, but wanted to finish the work.
This is an SOS to anyone who reads this. Forestville misses Dr. Chris McNeil who moved to Hawaii...he was a great dentist. Really cared about the comfort of his patients.

Dr. Karol Scheiner took over Dr. McNeil's business when he moved to Hawaii around 2006. After several visits for me and my husband's general dental needs, we have realized she is just not a very good dentist. The fees for things like cleanings immediately went up with the redecorating and new digital xray machines. I was informed on my first visit to her that I needed a root planing after a life of perfect teeth. By not so much of a coincidence, my husband got the same recommendation when he went in. This is more expensive than a regular cleaning, but after leaving the office my teeth didn't even feel smooth.

Her predecessor never made me wait more than 10 minutes, now every time I go in there I wait at least 45 minutes. Then there's the full set of pricey x-rays every time you go in (twice a year). But worst of all is 2 out of 2 fillings have gone bad. My husband got a small filling that acts up a year later and my first filling ever (for what she said was a chip at the gumline) was very painful weeks following, so she referred me to her husband the endodontist who tells me I now need a root canal- for a chipped tooth! Before I got a chance to get the root canal, the filling falls out only a few weeks later! So, I call Thursday before a holiday weekend and she's going out of town, tells me I should've already had a root canal, it's "not that big anyway" (to me it's big-and it really hurts), and she doesn't know when she can fix it. I am finding a new dentist.

On the upside, the same receptionist, Debbie, and hygienist, Sari, work there and are really great. The only good thing left :(
