Shivani Agarwal, MD, MPH

Shivani Agarwal, MD, MPH, is Director of the SEAD (Supporting Emerging Adults with Diabetes) program at Montefiore and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since joining the Montefiore team in 2018, her clinical focus has been on the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in patients aged 18 to 35 years old. In 2001, Dr Agarwal received her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience at Wellesley College. From 2005 to 2010, she attended New York University School of Medicine where she received her Doctor of Medicine. During this time, Dr Agarwal also attended Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health pursuing her Master of Public Health degree, which she received in 2009.
